There Is More

There Is More

A Poem

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

Romans 8:18

I wrote this poem as a reflection on how the Glory of the Lord brings hope through the promises that He keeps. He is a God of abundance and of eternal promise, and because of that, I believe that there is more.

There Is More

I can feel heaven, even here, even now.

The Angels are singing, I hear it;

I can feel the warmth of the heavenly hosts.

Even in death so imminent, there is no defeat.

Death has been confined in the shadows, it has lost its sting.

I can hear behind the curtain, a celebration of the end to prodigal living, a lost one coming home.

He reaches through the curtain and pulls me through, although my feet remain on solid ground.

In the water see her there and exhale, for she dances in the light that she couldn’t see before.

She is young again, free again.

So until we meet again, I will be looking toward all the light I cannot see, in all the hopes that I will feel His presence there.

Of one thing I am convinced; there is more.
